Oluwasola Omoju, Ph.D

Sola is an Economist and Research Fellow in the Department of Economic Development and Social Studies of the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies, the think tank of the Nigerian National Assembly. In this capacity, he provides research and policy support to members and committees of the National Assembly.

 

He holds a Ph.D. in Applied (Energy) Economics from Xiamen University in China. Before that, he obtained a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria, and a master’s degree in Economics from the University of Lagos, Nigeria. He has had visiting-research positions in Austria, France, and Ethiopia, and has led high-impact externally funded research projects.

 

His research interests include energy economics and power sector reforms, global climate policy, public financial management, applied development economics, and Africa’s trade policy. Shola is a volunteer member.
